Key Issues

Murfreesboro is growing rapidly, and the decisions we make today will shape our city for decades to come. From managing smart growth and reducing traffic congestion to strengthening public safety and investing in parks and infrastructure, these issues directly impact our daily lives.

Explore the key priorities driving a stronger, more sustainable Murfreesboro.

  • While we need all housing options, we need a smart, balanced approach to development and affordable housing. We need better solutions to manage traffic and commute times in our city.

  • Keep our first responders well trained, and competitively paid for the risks they take to keep us safe.

  • Manage our budget in a fiscally responsible manner to avoid tax increases.
